Vin Narayanan, Casino City reporter, made a trip to Las Vegas for the PKR.com Party and the Ultimate Bet 10th Anniversary event, and he wrote about his experience of what happened during his stay there. Narayanan stated, “But there’s one force in Sin City more powerful than heat- nightlife.”
On Wednesday night during his stay, he went to the PKR.com party which was at the Hugh Hefner Suite. The party was so packed that nobody was being let in unless they were the PKR.com players, whether they were even on the guest list or not. Narayanan and another Casino City reporter that was with him, Gary Trask, could not even get into the party until around 1 a.m. The party was in a two-floor suite on the 34th and 35th floor at the top of Fantasy Tower at the Palms. In the suite there was a lounge and a dance floor, a balcony with a pool with a beautiful view of Vegas, a media room, and a bedroom with a circular bed. Also, there was a hot tub and even massage tables. PKR.com had not only rented out the Hefner suite that also came with an open bar, music, professional dancers, and even Playboy bunnies. PKR.com’s party was a huge hit with everyone, players and guests alike.
Studio 54 had to shut down for another big Vegas party— the UltimateBet event. There were many UltimateBet pros at the party such as Adam “Roothlus” Levy, Tiffany Michelle, Annie Duke, and Phil Hellmuth. During the party Hellmuth was lowered down from the ceiling and floated over the dance floor and congratulated UltimateBet on their 10th anniversary. There was also a raffle for a seat in the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic. Narayanan said that both events were very sought after tickets and that “all in all, a good couple nights in Vegas.”
